If I graduated from FIU's undergraduate program with all of the verified coursework for the BCaBA certification, would I need to apply for the graduate certificate program?

The graduate certificate is only offered for students who already have a graduate level degree.

If I have masters from another University with special needs masters. Which would I take. The graduate or the others. I have my rbt

You can take the graduate certificate if you are not interested in doing a full masters program

However, keep in mind the certificate track does not handle practicum that is up to the student to get supervised field work

It you do rbt on a child. An you uSe those hours for supervised hours

the graduate certificate is an option as it will help you receive the verified course sequence. However, it will not help you receive the supervised field required by the BCBA board. You will need to fulfill that requirement on your own.

I finish my BA on psychology on December … can I still do my master on BCBA?

Yeah i got my BA in psychology in August of last year I would apply for the regular masters program right?

What are the requirements to apply?

Yes! you can apply to the masters program! If you graduate in December then you can start in the spring for the masters. However, keep in mind it different than the fall semester in that is fully online and you are responsible for finding a practicum site for hours.

Yes you will apply to the masters program not the graduate certificate.

Yes we will be able to see your GPA

The graduate admissions department are able to get your last two years of undergraduate education and calculate the GPA from there.

I want to start the master program next year on June… when is the best time to apply ?

You can start your application in January 2023! The application is due June 1st. This means that you can begin the application with you general information next year and then work on submitting your GRE, LORs, Personal Statement and resume/cv at a later date

If you apply after June 1st of this year, then your application will be considered for the Spring term because that deadline is Oct. 1st
